Over 50 competitors from around the world took part in the tournament at Bristol's Armada conference centre on Saturday to show off their skills in solving the six-sided puzzle.
Breandan Vallance, 18, from Beith, Ayrshire, was crowned the UK champion after completing the iconic puzzle in a staggering 9.21 seconds.
Despite celebrating its 30th anniversary this year the Rubik's Cube continues to be as popular as ever.
More than 350 million cubes have been sold around the world and the puzzle has enjoyed something of a resurgence in recent years with 1980s toys once again back in fashion.
The cube puzzle was invented by Hungarian professor Erno Rubik in 1974 and then licensed to be sold by Ideal Toys in 1980.
Last year Prof Rubik unveiled the latest addition to the puzzle collection - a Rubik's 360, a 3-D take on the traditional cube.
